Okay, we have been using Phreesia, our new electronic check-in system for a couple of months now, and it seems to be working quite well. After an initial slow down while everyone was getting the hang of it, our check in process appears to be much smoother than before. We have heard many comments (most for, some against) and we appreciate your input. Keep it up.

As I mentioned before, Phreesia was our first step towards an electronic health record, or EHR. We hope to go electronic by the end of the year, but this is still an estimate. We still have a lot of planning to do. The next thing you may notice is that we will be moving our exam rooms around a little to facilitate a better workflow with an EHR.

We are very excited at the idea of switching to an electronic record, because we think it will make it easier for us to provide you with excellent care. For example, we will never have to search for your chart ever again. All your information will be instantly accessible by anyone in our office, and even to your doctor on nights and weekends. No more missing messages, prescriptions, lab results, etc. You, the patient, will also be able to have access to your own record through a secure server to check lab results, appointments, etc.

More details will be posted when we have more definite plans. We thank you, our patients, for your patience during this transition.
